In Victoria and New South Wales the requirement to have government QR code check-in systems is expanding to all workplaces. Everyone entering the workplace will be required to use the system, even if other electronic recording systems, such as payroll or security systems, are in place to otherwise record access.
The Victorian provision has been effective since 10 June 2021. However, there was an amnesty in place, which expired at 11.59pm on 1 July 2021.
New South Wales workplaces will be required to have the Service NSW QR code system in place by 12 July 2021. This Advice has been updated to refer to the Gathering Restrictions which have been amended to establish the requirements for electronic check-in in all workplaces.
